Best UPS Crush in a Movie

The winner is Jennifer Coolidge's character in Legally Blonde. Her character is a shy, charming, if clueless (ha, just had to get that movie reference in), hairdresser, who has a huge crush on the UPS man who comes into the shop most every day. Reese's character taught her the "bend and snap" move so the UPS man would notice her. It caught his attention, they fall in love, and everyone lives happily ever after, like they should!

Another Reason to Love UPS Men

UPS Delivery Man Saves Ga. Woman From Attacker

ATHENS, Ga. -- Athens police said a 23-year-old man is in custody, accused of attacking a woman in her back yard and ripping her pants off in front of her child.
Police said the attack happened at about 3:10 p.m. Friday in the Whitehead Road area.
The woman told police that the suspect, identified as Chris Tiegreen, of Cameron Court, pulled her shirt and bra over her head. The victim also told investigators that she was able to bite Tiegreen during the assault.
According to the Athens Banner-Herald, a UPS deliveryman saw the attack, stopped and got Tiegreen away from the victim. Several other people came to the victim’s aid and helped detain Tiegreen until police arrived.
The victim was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital for an examination.
Tiegreen was arrested and charged with aggravated sexual battery and first-degree cruelty to a child.

Why the Crushes?

Why do we get crushes on UPS men? Is it those shorts they wear on anything but the coldest of days? Is it that they provide a welcome respite from the corporate drones and complaining customers the front desk women (and men) endure? Is it that they bring packages (who cares if it's a box of office supplies!)? Or is it because some of them are smoking hot and have great personalities? All of the above, for me.

I had crushes on two of the UPS men at my last job. One was strictly fantasy. He was muscled, had the sweetest smile, and was Latino. He was also married, according to the gold ring on his left hand. That didn't stop him from flirting with me, though. He always made time to chat with me for a couple of minutes. He knew about my kid, but we always refrained from talking about our significant others. Once he came up behind me and gave me a two-minute shoulder massage (I only hoped that no co-worker of mine would catch us). Yes, it was innocent flirtation. Could've lead to something more, but it didn't.

The other one was older, a little less attractive, but more my age, probably. He was trim and energetic. He had a great sense of humor--a lot like mine, which made it easy to joke with him. I don't know if he was married or not; I never want a man to catch me looking for his ring. I'm shy that way. Anyway, he left the route for several months and when he came back he said to me, "Hi, I think I missed you." whatever that means. I smiled and said I missed him too. I saw him recently at a local convenience store and, alas, he did not remember me, though, to his credit he at first acted as though he did.

Do you have a crush or have you had a crush on a UPS man? What does he look like? What do you talk about? Has a crush every turned into something more?
